That’s right, “Dixie”, “Angel”, and “Max” make up the DAM, of the Bulldog Riots. Typically these three can be found running around the house (or even the neighborhood at times), terrorizing their loving servants Kevin & Tara (that would be me!), and eating anything in sight.
These three became a family after Kev and I suffered the loss of our first pup “Ajax” in December of 2009 while visiting my home state of GA. Only days after “Ajax” passed away we felt “Dixie” needed a new playmate since she’d always been a social butterfly (just like her mama) and does not do well on her own. With that in mind, “Angel” was shown to us and rescued from an Animal Control shelter in GA only days before we returned to WI. She was brought into the home with speculations of problems to come considering her and “Dixie” were both females, but they seemed to really get along from the get-go. While “Dixie” and “Angel” got to know each other a bit better, Kev and I were in close contact with the American Bulldog Rescue about a male we found during our first search (before we knew of “Angel”). Needless to say, after returning to WI from our Christmas vacation, and only a week after adopting “Angel”, Kevin drove an almost 30 hour round trip (in a 2 day span) back to GA to rescue “Max”. Upon his entry into the home, the dynamic of the home changed from a “people home” with a couple of dogs to keep us company, to a “dog home” where 2 humans just so happen to stay from time to time. It’s a mad house around here now-days but it’s a good day when we don’t have to send anyone to their room. Time to start an afternoon of fun with the pups. Please feel free to stop by and see what these riots are up to from time to time, they’re always into something so you never know what you’re going to miss.
